The Insane Initiative

Chapter two- Why am I here?

My eyelids flashed open to a very bright light. I was surrounded by medical equipment and the constant beeping of machines. My mind started to wander off in a panicky sort of way. Where am I? What is this place? My breathing started to get shallow and quick. Another panic attack. I wanted to scratch my head but something was holding me down. I started to shake my hands and feet but they weren’t going anywhere. I must be in Northwood. But why? I didn’t do anything wrong! I’ve been taking my medication when I was supposed to! There isn’t any reason for this! I started to think of things that could take me here but nothing popped into my head. The beeping on one of the monitors started to get faster and a single alarm went off. They’re coming to get me. Restrain me even more. This is unbearable.I close my eyes to try and distract myself but my mind won’t let me. Breathing is becoming harder and nothing’s working. Then I hear a door open and a man and a woman come through the door way. The woman stays standing and the man sits down.
“I SWEAR IV’E BEEN TAKING MY MEDICATION WHEN I NEED TO! I HAVEN’ T SKIPPED!Please don’t do anything to me please!” I breathed heavily. I couldn’t move anywhere let alone talk loud like that without my asthma acting up.
“It’s ok. I’m Agent Natasha Romanoff and this is…” The woman trailed of so that the man could speak.
“I’m Dr. Bruce Banner.” He said
I looked at Natasha with an expression that said why am I here? I wanted to know why or how or what the reason is for me being here.
“We work for S.H.E.I.L.D and recently there was a battle that involved New York. We found you underneath three metal doors and a coffee table. You also had pieces of glass all over you.” Natasha said.
I just stared at her until I had enough strength to ask a few questions about the situation. “W-why am I here though? I could have gone to a regular hospital. Why here?” I waited to catch my breath before asking the next few questions. The people’s faces had a look of general concern over them.
“There was a file on you from way back. Evidently you have the worst case of bipolar disorder, depression, and anxiety in the whole country. We got copies of all your admittance and discharge papers from the different hospitals you’ve been to. We forgot about you for a while there until your latest admittance and discharge. This was in the northern U.S.” Natasha said. Dr. Banner just nodded along, agreeing with everything said.
“Okay but-t why…” I trailed off because there was a stabbing pain coming from my leg and I didn’t know where it was coming from. “Ouch! W-wha?” I couldn’t take it any longer. I let it all out. Crying seemed the logical answer along with quiet screams. Natasha and Bruce started to undo the restraints holding me down the bed. I started to curl over to my side but the pain stopped me from moving. Natasha walked out of the room leaving only Bruce in the room with me. Might as well ask some more questions. But instead of me opening my mouth it was him who talked first.
“You’re gonna be fine. As long as you do as you’re told. For example, don’t do what you just did. It hurts doesn’t it?” He said. His tone of voice seemed generally concerned and caring.
“mmhmm.” that was the only thing I said for the rest of the day. Bruce got up and put something in a vile and put it in a white thingy. I don’t know what it was but as soon as it was distributed I felt a weird sensation in my left hand. I picked up my hand at found a long, thin, tube attached to a needle in my arm. Must be an IV. What for? I dunno. The door opened and Natasha and three other guys came in. All three of them smiled at me. Boy they seem nice. There was four seats in which the three guys sat down in. All three of them were very attractive some more than others.
“Well want some names? It would be awesome if I wasn’t called ‘that one dude’ for the time you’re here. So I’m Tony. Like Tony Stark. Or Iron man. Or whatever you want to call me.” Tony said. He seemed like the ‘I’m nice when I want to ‘type and ‘sarcastic and nice when I want to’.
The next one to speak was a blonde. “I’m Steve. Or Captain America. But I prefer Steve please."
The next one was a dirtyish blond. “I’m Clint Barton. Or Hawkeye.” he said. I guess that they wanted my name too but all I gave them was a nod. Things began to blur. People were talking and asking questions and eventually everything was black.

You have done very well on this. Maybe try and have Amy try and connect with someone other than Tony and Clint? All in all, you've done very well.

Again, this is rather short, but the banter is charming. You don't need to update every day. This is your story, and your story and your imagination is important. Take your time, do what you want, imagine your story and write it down with care. A little more patience can only do wonders ;)

This chapter seems to be a little short - I have still no idea what's happening. More attention to grammar, please - otherwise, I still like your gamble with the protagonist, as well as her reaction to her sorroundings.
