The Insane Initiative

Chapter Six - Guns and arrows

“Okay why are my eyes blue???Why did they turn yellow and purple? What happened?”
This wasn’t right. For all of my life I never thought my eyes would turn weird
colors it just wasn’t right.
“Calm down Amy. We gave you some things that would help us
know you better. Your emotions go along with your eye color.Right now you’re probably scared. Your eyes
are light blue. That’s all I know. There were more things but even I wasn’t allowed
to know.” Natasha said.
“My emotions. Colors. Okay. Why was I your experiment
though? You could have chosen someone else! I don’t need this! I’m screwed up
as it is. IT’s just gonna add to it.” I was pissed off and they knew it. It
probably showed too.
“You gotta stop with that eye thing. They’re red now. It’s
creepy.” Tony said.“No! I can’t I don’t even know how to control it let alone
know why this is my burden. I’m just done. Do whatever you want. I don’t care.”
I didn’t say a word to either to them after that. Tony tried to but I shot him
a glare. We walked to what seemed like the headquarters of the place. I sat
down in one of the chairs. Everyone else was there as well. Steve, Clint,
Bruce, and what must have been Director Fury.
“Hello Amy. Have you gotten used to this place yet? Because
you’re gonna be working here from now on.” Fury said.
“What. I was just extremely pissed off for learning that my
eyes change color and some other weird creepy crap and you’re offering me a
job. I accept, but, what?” I said in the upmost confusion. He chuckled a little
bit.
“Well you’re gonna become and asset to our team. You put up quite
the display of self defense when you managed to break out that one day. You are
now officially and Agent of S.H.E.I.L.D. Congratulations Agent Risinski.” He
said.
“Um. Cool. Thanks?” I said. I just didn’t understand, but, I
went along with it. The rest of them congratulated me. Tony gave me one of
those side hugs that people give when you don’t wanna give a full hug but you
wanna be nice. It was okay though. He’s kinda like the father I never had. I
spent the rest of the day training with them. Each of them had something
different to teach me. Natasha taught me her version of martial arts, Clint
taught me how to shoot guns and arrows, Steve taught me defense, and Tony taught
me how to use like small weapons, like lasers and other knickknacks. Bruce was
just gonna teach me how to understand the physics of the helicarrier and its
odds and ends. All and all it was a good few weeks. I was finally stable enough
to get myself my own room. It was dark red with silver furniture. I had my own
bathroom and closet that I filled with the help of Natasha. I felt comfy there. Like I belonged for once
in my life. I found myself being more jokey and fun. Just like my old self. It
was so nice to finally call this place home.

I woke up the next morning I was woken up by Clint. it was
kinda annoying to be woken up by being punched. Three times. Very hard.
“Hey! Why do you always punch me? Are you my alarm clock
now?” I said he laughed at that statement.
“No. You and I are going on a
short mission. Evidently at Northwood there’s a girl named Viktoriah and she
has schizophrenia and she’s on
S.H.E.I.L.D’s radar. She hurts the workers there constantly. We’re thinking
that you can talk to her and help her so that she doesn’t hurt anymore people.”
He said.
“Okay. I can do it. But I wouldn’t have had a choice huh?” I said. And with
that he left so that I could get ready. That’s when I noticed a box on my dresser.
I took it and sat down on my couch to open it. Inside were two guns, a stun gun
in the form of a bracelet. and two gun holsters. Well at least I won’t get
caught for having weapons at Northwood. I went into my closet and pulled out black
skinny jeans, and black t-shirt, and black combat boots. I took a black
motorcycle jacket and a necklace out. I got dressed and Clint was standing
outside my door. We walked outside and went inside a much smaller version on
the helicarrier. We traveled to and airport and got into a black car with very
dark windows. The ride was silent. I would have talked but I was very tired. I
only slept five hours the past night because I was on my laptop studying the
information Bruce told me to research. I yawned. We eventually got there and parked in the
visitors section. It was just us. Just our car. It’s sad how nobody wants to
visit their loved ones.

“Hello! Um… A-Amy? Amy Risinski? Is that you? You seem well! How are you?”
It was Nurse Meg. She was the kindest of them all. She actually took the time
to help. She was the best.
“Hi! I’m doing great actually. No slip ups. We actually came here to see
Viktoriah Rickswell. Is that possible at this time?” I asked.
“Oh boy. Why not? She hasn’t seen anyone in four days except for her meals.
Right this way Amy. And you are?” She asked Clint.
“Clint Bareton.” He intentionally said it wrong so no one would suspect
anything. I caught that one.
“Well nice to meet you! Do you two work together or something?”She asked.
“As a matter of fact, yes we do. We work at a um office in New York.” I
said as the elevator was going up to our destination. The elevator opened and we walked over to
Viktoriah’s room. Nurse Meg got the key and opened the door.
“eh Who is it?” Viktoriah said. She was obviously scared.
“Viktoriah?” I said. She looked very familiar.
“A-amy? Why are you here?” she said.

You have done very well on this. Maybe try and have Amy try and connect with someone other than Tony and Clint? All in all, you've done very well.

Again, this is rather short, but the banter is charming. You don't need to update every day. This is your story, and your story and your imagination is important. Take your time, do what you want, imagine your story and write it down with care. A little more patience can only do wonders ;)

This chapter seems to be a little short - I have still no idea what's happening. More attention to grammar, please - otherwise, I still like your gamble with the protagonist, as well as her reaction to her sorroundings.
