“Pepper, Pepper stop pushing me, I don’t want to meet him.” I cried out as she pushed me along the hallway.

“Oh come on you’re my best friend and I want you to meet my boyfriend, plus he’s a fan of your band” Pepper explained

“At least let me take this hoodie off.” I whined gesturing to my Iron man hoodie, I began to take my arm out

“No, no stop he’ll like it” she said straightening it still pushing me.

“Virginia!!”

“Melody!!” she retaliated

“Tony there you are, meet my best friend, Melody.” Pepper said as we walked into a large living room.

“Well hello there, when Pepper said she knew you I thought she was lying, I’m a big fan of your band.” he said walking towards us and shaking my hand, smirking at my hoodie.

“Nice to meet you.” I said trying to cover my hoodie by crossing my arms but of course it was too late, the damage was done.

“Well this was exciting, Pepper I’m going back home.” I told her trying to leave

“Oh no, you can’t leave, you have to meet the rest of the team as well, they’ll love you I know it!”

I sighed in defeat knowing that I couldn't argue with Pepper

“Fine at least let me take this off.”

“Don’t do that, you have to show the guys who your favorite is!” Tony said laughing

“Ha yeah, no.” I said lifting the hoodie over my head.

“Hey guys the food here yet?” I heard a voice ask.

I struggled with the hoodie for a second before finally yanking it off and facing the voice. There stood Captain America another one of the Avengers.

“Um h-hi.” I stuttered throwing the hoodie behind me and it hit Tony in the face.

He didn't answer me just stared for a moment before he said anything.

“Harmony?” he questioned confused

“Oh sorry no I’m Melody.” I told him

“I-I’m sorry you just look exactly like…but that was decades ago.” he cleared his throat.

“Steve Rogers.” he introduced sticking out his hand

“Nice to meet you.” I said putting my hand in his to shake, right when our skin touched I felt a shock go through me and by the way he was looking at me he felt it too.

“Sir, the food has arrived.” I jumped hearing the voice come from the ceiling. I slipped my hand out of Steve’s, turning to Pepper and Tony.

“What was that?” I asked pointing to the ceiling

“JARVIS” Tony said simply throwing my hoodie back to me, I caught it with ease.

“Come on I’ll explain while we walk to the kitchen.” Pepper said leading me along with the captain right behind us.
