I had made it to the top of the building where I was before, I almost missed the edge. Then out of nowhere, I pushed my feet off the edge of the building, and landed what I thought to be soundlessly behind Clint. He didn’t hear me, so I made an effort to make a sound. When he heard someone behind him, he spun around, his bow tightened and aimed at my forehead. I put my hands up in defence, he gave me a sigh of relief, but then he saw the cuts and bruises on my face, and he looked worried. I knew he was looking at my cuts, and bruises. “Clint, I’m fine, I went to go save my cousin, and one of the creatures had a bomb, and he threw it at Cap and I, but Cap grabbed his shield in time, and protected the both of us from the worse of the bomb, but I went flying into a building, and Cap landed on a car. I think I hit like the third of fourth floor, and I hit the ground. I’m fine, you don’t need to worry about me…”

“But that’s why I worry Maddy. You say your fine, but you come back up here, with bruises, and massive cuts on your arms, and face, and you say you’re fine…? Maddy… are you sure you’re okay?” He asked me, gently. “Yes, I’m fine…” I said, giving him a smile. He returned it, then he let loose an arrow near my head, I narrowly avoided it to see it hit its mark; right in between the eyes of a creature that was coming to stab me in the back. I looked back to the alien, and back to Clint. “Thanks for that, again…” I said, still trying to figure out why all these creatures, were trying to kill me, so badly. It’s like it was their job to kill me. That’s when I realized something, I think they were trying to kill me, yes I know that they were trying to kill everyone else, but it’s like someone ordered them to kill me! Something or someone wanted me dead! But I wasn’t sure why they, whoever it was wanted my head. Clint saw that I had stopped talking and he walked over to me. “Maddy……are you okay?”

“Káti í̱ Kápoios thélei nekroús…” I said, Clint gave me a confused look, I sighed. “Something or someone wants me dead…” I said, nervously. Clint gave me a shocked look, and I just stood there, trying to think about why someone or something wanted me dead. Just then, I heard an explosion behind us, I turned around to see a giant group of aliens behind us. “Maddy… do you trust me?” “With my life…” I responded, with a good idea in mind what he was going to ask me to do. “Maddy…I want you to jump.” “What?!” I asked, in utter shock, Why did Clint want me to jump from the roof of a building? “You said that you trusted me. Trust me when I say, jump from the roof…” I sighed. “Alright…” “Okay, on the count of three, jump. One.Two.Three…Jump!” I trusted Clint on this, so I held my breath, praying that Clint was right about this, and I jumped…


On my way down, I was wondering why Clint had wanted me to jump. Was he going to sacrifice himself for me? I was praying that, that was not his intention, because I would never forgive myself for it. Just then, as I was about to think that all hope was lost for me, I felt a strong arm go around my waist and hold me tight. I looked up to see Clint, had grabbed my waist, stopping me from my descent. I was about to scream at him, until I saw that he was using a grappling arrow, that he had used to keep the both of us from falling any farther. I gave him a smile, and he gently kissed me. “You think I was planning on losing you?” He asked me. I just smiled. I thought that things were fine now, until I saw a knife slash quickly across Clint’s arm. He yelped in pain, and I saw that it was not a knife that had slashed Clint’s arm. Instead it was the tip of a hovercraft thing that had slashed his arm. Unknowingly, Clint let go of me, and I began to plummet towards the ground.
