*Clint Barton’s Point of View*
A searing pain ripped through my arm, unknowingly I let go of Madison. I heard a scream, and I looked down to see Maddy, falling to her death. Just because I let go of her. I saw her look up at me one more time, before I saw her no longer. I was so angry with myself. Why did I let go of her? I promised her that I would never let her go, that I would always keep her safe that I would stay with her. I just broke that promise in a few mere seconds. I would never forgive myself for it; I swung through a window, glass shattering around me. I lay on the floor, breathing heavily. I was trying to recap what had just happened. I was hoping that what had happened to Madison was just a bad dream or a terrible hallucination. But I knew that she was gone. My heart ached. I just couldn’t believe that I had let her go, in that one simple second, if I didn’t let go of her, her fate would be different, mine would be too. I shakingly stood up, after what seems like hours, and I heard Natasha say that she could close the portal. “Do it!” I heard Cap say. “No.” I heard Tony say. “Tony, these things are still coming…” I said, a little confused. “I got a Nuke coming in, and it’s going to blow in about a minute. And I know just where to put it…” I knew what he meant. “Stark, you know that’s only a one way trip…” Steve said. I watched as Tony flying upwards towards the portal. Just then, I heard an explosion, that seemed to be coming from the portal. Tony hadn’t shown up yet. “Close it.” I heard Cap say. I watched as the portal slowly begin to close, before it fully closed I saw something fall through the portal. It was Tony! “Son of a gun…” I heard Cap say. I smirked, Impressive Stark. I thought. Then I noticed something, “He’s not slowing down!” I heard Thor bellow. Just as, Thor was about to go through the air to catch him, something else flew through the air. It was, the Hulk! I saw him fly through the air, and grab Tony before he hit the ground, when the Hulk reached the ground, he set Tony down. I jumped down and ran over to the group. I reached them, just as Thor had torn off Tony’s mask. The light in his chest was no longer lit. Cap put his ear near Tony’s mouth to see if he was breathing. We all waited in an eerie silence for something or anything to happen.


Out of nowhere, Hulk roared. Tony gasped and we smirked. The Hulk roared again, and he beat his own chest. “What the hell?!” Tony said, still in shock. “What just happened!?! Please tell me nobody kissed me!” Cap took a few deep breaths. “We won.” He said. “Alright. Yay. Alright, good job guys. Let’s not come in tomorrow. Let’s just take a day off…” He looked over to Bruce, who was still the Hulk. “Have you ever tried shawarma? There’s a shawarma joint, about 2 blocks from here. I don’t know what it is, but I want to try it…” I rolled my eyes. Even though he just cheated death, he was still the same old Tony. Then they all noticed me, standing by myself. “Clint, where’s Madison?” “She…she…fell…I…don’t know where she fell to, but a creature cut my arm…” Their gaze went to the long, and ugly gash on my arm. “The creature cut my arm…when I was holding Madison…I don’t know where she fell to…” “Well, we have to look for her!” Cap said. I nodded. “We’re not finished yet…” Thor said. “Then search party then shawarma after?” Tony asked. Cap helped Tony up. Thor flew Captain up to the tower, and Tony got me. As we were going up there, two questions buzzed through my mind: Where was Madison, and Was I ever going to see her again?
