Heart of Ice

Feeling like ice was creeping into her veins, Gwen let out a startled scream. She had no idea what was happening. Her mother and father were out, so she was left there alone. She made her way to the bathroom and looked in the mirror. She looked pale; too pale for her naturally tan skin. A shiver crawled up her spin as she watched while her skin just got paler and paler, almost to an unnatural pale.

She closed her eyes, fighting against more shivers as her body convulsed with shakes. When she opened them, her once milk chocolate eyes were now a startling bright, icy blue. "What the hell?" She muttered, touching the cool glass of the mirror, making sure that there wasn't someone on the other side making her think that this was really her. "It's a dream, just a dream," she muttered, sinking to her knees, shakes still racking her body.

The icy feeling reached her scalp, and she gasped, grasping her head. She sat there for what felt like hours, and the feeling finally went away. She stood shakily, and looked in the mirror, hoping to see her tan, brown eyed self. Instead, she saw an unaturally pale girl with ice blue eyes staring back at her, but now with a new addition. Her dark brown locks were gone; in thier place were now pale blond locks.

"What happened to me?" She whimpered, not able to tear her now light eyes away from her new reflection.

Disclaimer: I'm in love with X-Men: First Class, so the main characters from X-Men are going to be from that movie. I know that the movie was meant to be in the sixties, but it's fan-fiction, so whatever. Also, I'm a hardcore shipper of Charles/Erik. If you don't like that, than this isn't the story for you.
