I got out of the shower, and changed into comfortable clothes, and I walked into the living room. I saw Clint watching TV, his face scrunched up in horror and disgust. I sat beside him, and watched the news. I saw the bodies of young children being lifted out of a hole in the ground. They were mercilessly butchered, in inhuman ways. Bile was rising in my throat, but I fought against it. I choked, this was just wasn’t happening. Clint heard me, and he turned the TV off, and he wrapped his arms around me, trying to comfort me. I was trying to erase what I had just seen from my mind, but I still saw it. I shivered, for it was one of the most disturbing things that I had ever seen.

Clint stood me up, and with my hand in his, we walked out to his car. I sat down, beside, on the passenger side, and for the entire trip, my head spun, and I was quiet. When we reached Stark Towers, I didn’t even want to go inside. I didn’t want Tony to experiment on me, or anything like that. But both Tony and Pepper were my friends, and they wouldn’t do anything like that. Clint saw my despair, and he wrapped his arm around my waist. I knew another thing for certain. There was no way that Clint was going to let Tony experiment on me. We walked into Stark Towers, and we got on the elevator.

Another thing I forgot to mention. I hate being stuck in small and contained spaces. I was claustrophobic. I hated riding in elevators. I just hated it. I just couldn’t wait to be out of this elevator.

When we reached the top floor, I let out a quiet sigh of relief. Clint gave me a strange look, which I tried to ignore. We reached the door, and I knocked. “Consulting hours are from 5 to 7 every other Thursday……” I heard Tony saw. I grinned. That was the line that he used with my father. As soon as my thoughts strayed to him, my heart felt heavy, I still couldn’t believe that it had only been a few months since he had died, or killed I should say. Clint saw that I was saddened, so he planted a kiss on my forehead.

I blushed, even though my heart was still heavy. “Tony, at least check who is at the door……” I heard Pepper groan. I laughed. “Come on, Stark. Let us in…” I laughed. The door quickly opened; there stood Pepper, with a grin plastered on her face. “About time, someone actually decided to open the door…” I said jokingly, winking at Pepper. She laughed. “What’s going on?” She asked. “We need to see Tony, about Madison…” Clint said, quickly. “Hi, Pepper…” He added, teasingly. She smiled. “Hi, Clint. You better be treating Maddy right or Tony will beat your ass…”

She smiled, but we both knew that she was serious. Clint laughed. “I know that if I piss off Maddy, or mistreat her, I know that she will kick my ass, and I am not afraid to admit that…” I laughed, because it was true. I gave Clint a nudge with my shoulder, and Pepper smiled. Just then, we saw Tony appear at Pepper’s side, as he leaned against the door frame. “I heard my name…” I laughed. Tony will only show up, if he hears his name in anything. “And he finally shows up, only when Pepper called his name…” I grinned. He smiled. “What do you both need?” He asked. “Um…” I began, as Pepper let us in, and we sat on the couch. “…Lately, I have been having strange and equally terrifying nightmares, when I am on Olympus, and whatever happens in the nightmares to me, actually happens to me…” I said, unsure. “This morning, she also acted like she was possessed, and when I asked her about it after, she didn’t know what had happened…” Clint added.










Tony gave us both strange looks. I could tell that we were going to be here for a while…
