Loki walked home through the snow-filled streets, snowflakes speckling his raven hair. His pale skin was almost the same color as the snow surrounding him. He was on his way home from his latest client's house, an army sergeant named Steve. He looked around and, satisfied there was no one around, pulled the money from his pocket, counting it quickly. £97. He still did not have enough to pay his rent, yet alone fund his... Habit. After the long night, the countless men, Loki needed a break.

Loki unlocked his apartment door, the warm air from inside feeling like fire on the skin his ripped gloves exposed. He dropped his rain coat on the floor and stumbled through to the living room to put his coin and notes in the jar. He added an extra £97 to the total, tallying it up to £237. His gaze turned to the window, staring out at the snow; his thoughts turned to his brother on the other side of the world. A phone call to talk to his best friend. That was one of the things he needed at the moment.

Loki walked back to his coat to get his phone. A panic set in when he realized it was not in his pockets. Frisking his body, Loki groaned. He must have left it at Steve's. Now what was he going to do now? He made his way to his bedroom, getting his needle, full with his last two hits. The plan slowly formed in his mind as he made his way up to the building's roof. He did not want to go outside, it was much too cold, yet he knew the roof would be the best place to do this.

Loki sat down on the edge, flinching at the cold. A smile crossed his lips when he noticed how pretty New York looked at night, covered in snow. He held the needle in between his teeth before undoing his belt. He tied it and tightened it around his arm. Pressing the needle into his vein, he lay back and stared up at the sky. His Mother was up there with the angels. A smile crossed his lips at the thought of seeing his mother again. He applied pressure to the plunger. The snow began to cover his frail body as he slowly but surely let the heroin take over his body.

"I am coming, Mommy..."
