Loki woke with a start, and sat up slowly. He lifted his hand to his head, which throbbed ferociously. As the time went he finally stood up, remembering what had happened. "Shade!" He yelled into the silence, like slicing ice. "Shade..." It was no use, the sorcerer had gotten his grimy hands on her, it was his job, HIS job, to protect her. He had promised her mother,swore he would protect the child right before she died.That was one promise he was going to keep. He would find her, even if it meant he would be endangering his own life, he would save her.






'Mmmmmmm' I groan as I slowly become conscious and aware of my surroundings. My head throbs, and my arms were hurting. I am lying down on a cold, wet and musty rock floor. 'Oh god,' I think to myself, 'this better not be a fucking dungeon, I hate dungeons...' I slowly sit up, and realize I'm not bound in any way. Anger flows through me, as I remember what happened, if he touched Loki I'm gonna kill him, no wait....I'm already going to kill Nikolai, he killed my parents. Now I'm going to return the favor. I see I'm in a cell of some sorts, and I stand cautiously. I decide to try and open the cell door--of course it's locked. Luckily my hair was up so I grabbed my hairpin and tried to unlock the cell door with it. I tried using my magic to unlock the door, but some kind of spell made that pretty much useless. After what seemed like an eternity I was losing hope. But when I finally heard a click I was overjoyed. I peeked out sheepishly, becoming aware of the environment outside the cell. There was a long corridor going to my left, and it dead ended to my right. "Now what Shade?" I whispered to myself. "I got myself into this mess, I've gotta find a way out." I replied to myself blankly. 'First, find Nikolai, then kill him. Next, escape this hellhole and find Loki. Shouldn't be that hard, right?" But that was where I was wrong.....
