Savior- A Tony Stark/ Ironman Love story

The night Pepper told him that she loved someone else and was going to get married, Tony lost it. He started hitting the scotch earlier and more thru out the day. His reputation as a womanizer came to full circle as the paparazzi placed him a new woman practically every night. He started taking more risk with his company leading to some very costly business decisions. It became so bad that the board of Stark Enterprises thought of Tony as a risk and took away his decision privileges. They would allow him just to be the face of the company. During his psych eval for SHIELD he was diagnosed with depression and being suicidal so they grounded him. Tony was on a downward spiral and he did not care and this went on it became Tony’s habit.

One day as he was going thru his mail, he came across his invitation for the Gala. As the face of Stark Enterprises, he figured he should make an appearance. It would be good to get out of the apartment. Maybe go as Ironman. He hadn’t done that in a while he thought, then put the idea out of his head. It had been awhile since he wore the suit and it would not be ready in time. He just make an appearance, would go for an hour or two and leave. Maybe find a body, maybe not.

He went to his closet to find his tux still in the dry cleaning bag from the last time he planned to wear it- at Pepper’s wedding. But he changed his mind decided did not go, know that it would hurt even worst seeing the one woman he cared about marrying someone else. He knew that he could never really love her like she truly deserved. But letting her go was hard on him.

The Gala was always one of Tony’s favorite events of the season. It was a premier event for Stark Enterprises. A black tie affair with everyone dressed to the nines. It always reminded him of the parties his mother and father attend and would tell him about when he was younger. It always seemed like something life changing would happen. Little did Tony know on this particular night his life start changing.
