Age Of Miracles

At the age of 10 i remember running away from Bayville. I ran away from Erik and Raven. I loved both of them dearly, they raised me, cared for me and made me strong. I felt like i had to leave them for a while, Erik would pressure me into his beliefs, and sometimes I just couldnt. I couldnt agree into hurting any non mutant. Not all of them were bad, at least that is what I thought when I was 10.
I ran not knowing where to go, just going where ever my legs would take me, not stopping until I was ready to collapse. And when I finally did, it was in a beautiful large field, filled with humid grass, pretty flowers scattered all around. It was a dark and chilly night, and I laid on the moist grass, not caring if my clothes would get wet. As it got darker and darker, my eye lids felt heavy and soon enough, darkness was all I saw.
I felt, warmth, and softness under me. I could here soft music playing, in the background. My eyes fluttered open, groggily I brush the crust off my eye lids, sitting up as I do so. I noticed I was laying in a small bed, with white sheets and covers. "Well good morning sunshine, sleep well?" I heard a voice speak out. Surprised, I jerk my head towards the voice, and noticed that a teenage boy with short dirty blond hair and blue eyes sat on a chair next to the bed. "Its okay, Im not going to hurt you" he grinned. I took a good look at the kid and noticed he was wearing some sort of red jump suit with a yellow patch on the side of his chest.
"Who are you?" I asked in a low voice, a bit afraid of the kid next to me. "There's no need to be afraid, like I said, I wont hurt you, and the name is . . Star-Lord" He said while trying to give off a sly grin. As stood up from the bed, I gave the boy a skeptical look. "okay then. .'Star-Lord' where exactly am I? Whyd you being me here?" I asked him and I walked around the room. It was small, but cozy, there wasnt much to it, just the bed, a chair that Star Prince was sitting on, and a small cabinet with a mirror, on the opposite side was a door, probably leading towards a restroom and across the bed was the door i assume that lead to the exit. "Well you're on board the Eclector, any other questions, you have to take it up with Yondu" He explained, watching me as I inspected the room.
I gave him a questioning look. Star Lord stood from his seat and walked towards the door I guessed was the only way out of this room. He nodded his head towards the door and soon exited, I quickly ran out the room and followed right behind.
"So heres the deal, every one aboard this ship is a Ravager" he explained. "We are smugglers, thieves, space pirates if you may, Short stack try to keep up" He snapped at me, as he saw me lag behind, trying to take in every thing. I jogged up next to him. "SPACE?? We are in SPACE??" I gaped. "WHY?" It felt like some one sucker punched me in the gut, and I struggled to take a breath.
"Okay short stack calm down, its not that bad" He tried comforting me.
"not that bad?! NOT THAT BAD?! OH MY GOD ERIK IS GOING TO KILL ME, OH MY GOD ERIK! HES GOING TO FREAK! HOW AM I GOING TO GET BACK HOME? AND RAVEN? SHES GOING TO . . . " I continued to freak out.
I felt him grab my arm and continue to drag me to where ever we were heading to. After a while i calmed down a bit. The remainder of the walk was in silence.
We stopped in front of a huge door, "here we are" the door slid open, and I noticed a couple of people standing around. As we walked inside I noticed that we were in the flight deck. I noticed some one sitting in the captains chair, who's back was facing us. Still grabbed onto my arm, he pulled me around so we could face the captain.
Feeling eyes gazing upon me, I felt like shrinking into a small ball. All these men made me feel uneasy. "This here is Yondu, the man who pretty much abducted you" Star Lord murmured loud enough for Yondu and myself to hear, which caused the man with blue skin to glare at the boy.
"ABDUCTED? Boy I SAVED both your lives!" The man spat out and he stood from his chair and walked up to the boy who was also now glaring at him.
"You took me from my family!"
"Boy we are your family now! You dont give a damn about your Terra" He growled and pushed Star Lord back. He sat back down onto his chair then turned to look at me. " Dont tell me youre also going to be a brat about this? Because if you are I'll tell you now girl, If you are Ill just feed you to my crew, they aint never had Terran before!" He laughed, along with the crew around him. I looked at him. Fear clear in my face. I took a step back and tried to hold back my tears. "I want to go home" I whimpered which made them laugh even more.
"You are home, girl! And while youre here, youll be making yourself useful. Im sure Quill here will let you know. Now get our colors, shes a Ravager now, and girl, quit your crying, there is no place for sentiment here!"
The boy lead me out of the flight deck, and i finally broke down. I heard him give out a sigh and felt his hand pat the top of my head. "Dont worry they wont eat you, just get used to hearing that a whole lot" He said, trying to comfort me. He pulled me into a big hug, letting me cry on his shirt. "Dont worry squirt, Ill be here to keep you safe."
"Whats y-your name?" I manage to sob out. I heard him chuckle and he whispered, "Quill, Peter Quill"
