It has been a while since the Avengers left. Tony gave me the OK to explore around the Avengers Tower. . If I promised I wouldn’t 'steal' anything. What ever. I made my way thru most of the top floors, so at the moment I was in the lab that Tony and Doctor Banner always spend their time in. I was messing with their gadgets when I heard voices coming closer and closer. "Marie what are you doing here?" I heard Doctor Banner say. I see him, Tony and Thor step into the lab, Thor holding some box that was glowing on the inside. "Tony said I could look around, I wanted to see what kind of cool things you guys do up here" I explained, taking a seat on a stool. "Whats with the mysterious magic scepter?" I asked, watching Tony place the scepter on a far off counter. "THIS, is what Loki used to mind control" Tony said. I stood up from the stool and made my way to the scepter. Something about it seemed so familiar. I examined the blue crystal looking part of the scepter, it was beautiful. "I think ive seen this before" I mumbled to myself, still staring at the orb. "Of course you have, it was all over the news" Tony said, doing god knows what in some see thru screen. "Why do you guys have it here? Shouldn’t Thor take it back to where it belongs?" I asked, finally taking my sights off the scepter. "He gave us the OK to run some tests, he will take it back at the end of the week" Doctor Banner explained. I gave him and uneasy look, but shrugged it off. "Which reminds me, by that time, I will be throwing a party, so go get yourself something nice to wear" Tony spoke up, giving me a glance. I scrunched up my nose at the thought. "If you'll excuse me im going to go check up on Barton" Doctor Banner said as he walked towards the door. "Barton? What happened?" I asked walking out with Doctor Banner. "Nothing too serious, that is why Doctor Cho is here" He said as we entered another room.
I saw Barton lay on a flatbed with Romanoff next to him. An asian woman whom I presume is Doctor Cho was running test I believe, on Barton. A machine right on top of him. "The nano-molecular functionality is instantaneous. His cells don’t know they’re bonding with simulacrum." I heard her say. "She is creating tissue" Doctor Banner explained. "With that machine? That’s awesome!" I blurted out, Doctor Banner looked up at me and gave me a nod. "If you brought him to my lab, the regeneration cradle could do this is twenty minutes" Doctor Cho turned to look at Banner."He's flatlining it! Called it, time?" I heard some one say behind me. I turn and see Tony who hands me a drink. I take it and he makes his way to Barton. "No no m going to live for ever! Im going to be made of pastic" Barton sarcastically says as he takes a drink from Tony as well. "You'll be made of you Mr. Barton, you're own girlfriend wont even be able to tell the difference" Doctor Cho says, looking at a monitor. "I don’t have a girlfriend" Barton mumbled, taking a sip of his drink. "That’s I cant fix" She replied making me choke a bit on my drink. "Everyone! I would like you to meet the newest addition to the Stark family, Marie this is Natasha, Clint and Doctor Helen Cho" Tony said and he pointed to each one. "Don’t we feel sorry for you then" Natasha said as she shook my hand. "Its nice to meet you all" I smiled. "Helen, I expect to see you at the party on Saturday" Tony said taking a sip of his drink. Helen rolled her eyes as she was writing stuff down on her clip board. "Unlike you, I don’t have a lot of time for parties. . .will, Thor be there?"

In those couple days I ended up going dress shopping with Natasha. I spend some time with Thor and listening to his Asgardian stories. I would pop by Tony's lab to see what him and Doctor Banner- or how he insisted, to call him Bruce, would be up to. Tony didn’t want me snooping in the lab so I respected his wishes but what I did catch was that there were making something called Ultron. Steve would pop by as well, and I got along with him amazingly. He was such a gentleman, never once rude to me, but with Tony that was something else. The party was right around the corner and I was very excited yet nervous. Last time I partied back on Xandar, Peter and I ended up being apprehended, something about "Public Intoxication". . What ever.

"You know the suit can take the weight right? So I take the tank, fly it up to the General's palace, drop it at his feet, im like, BOOM you looking for this?" Rhodey was saying to Tony, Thor, Maria and myself. They seemed to be unfaced by it but I ended up giggling. "Boom! Are you looking- Why do I even talk to you? Marie is the only one who gets it. Everywhere else that story kills!" Rhodey said frustrated with them which caused me to laugh harder. "That’s he whole story?" Thor asked taking a sip of his drink. "Yea, it’s a war machine story!" "well it’s a very good one" Thor said laughing. "Its impressive" "So no Pepper? She isnt coming?" Rhodey asked Tony who just seemed unimpressed with his best friend. "Hey what about Jane? Where are all the ladies, gentlemen?" Maria asked, leaning against Rhodey. "Yea, I was hopping id get to met her, but im sure she is busy with the company you dumped on her right?" I said taking a gulp of my drink, feeling a burning sensation down my throat. "Im not sure what country Jane is in. Her work in the convergence has made her the worlds foremost astronomer" Thor said trying not to sound so smug. "And the company that Pepper is running is the largest in tech conglomerate on earth. And SHE is very excited about that" Tony said, glaring at me. Thor continued, " There is even talk of Jane getting a, um, a Nobel Prize." I snortred at his comment, chugging down the rest of my drink. "Yea they must be busy because they would hate missing you guys get together. ." Maria started, she gave out a fake cough and said "Testosterone~, Oh excuse me" She covered her mouth. I patted her back and Rhodey took her arm. "want a Iozenge?" Maria uhhumed and nodded her head. "Lets go" I said, walking of with the two leaving Tony and Thor to bicker some more.

Steve and Thor were talking to some elderly men, I made my way to them, standing next to Steve. Thor then proceded on take out this cute tiny flask from his blazer pocket. He poured some of the condiments into a glass he had on his hand. "I gotta have some of that!" one of the old men said. " Oh, no, no, no. See this, this was aged for a thousand years, in the barrels built from the wreck of Brunhilde’s fleet, it’s not meant for mortal men." Thor said as he poured some on Steve's empty glass. "Neither was Omaha Beach, blondie. Stop trying to scare us. Come on." The elderly man sitting next to Thor taunted. Thor looked at the man and gave in. "Alright" he poured some on the man's shot glass. I look at the one Steve had and took a wiff. "Lady Stark I think you've enough to drink" Thor laughed. "I can handle it!" I said defensively. Steve laughed and placed a hand on my shoulder. "I think you should sit this one out" I huffed in defeat and nodded. "Fine" I grumbled taking a gulp from the drink I was holding. Being a bit drunk already I don't remember what happened to the men, all I remember was one had to be walked out, and mumbling something bout "Excelsior"

I sat down in one of the couches that tony had, a bit far off from every one. I had a drink in my hand and quickly chugged it down. " If you keep on doing that, you wont last that long" I heard some one say behind me. "I know, that’s why Im here alone for a bit, I don’t want to start crying in front of every one" I said placing the now empty glass on the floor next to me. "Emotional drunk?" He said, taking a seat next to me. "You have no idea, hey if I pass out, can you take me to my room please?" I asked, looking at Steve. He was wearing black suit pants and a navy long sleeved button up shirt. He looked absolutely stunning. Did I say that out loud? Oh god I hope I didn’t say that out loud."You want me to take you now?" He asked. I giggled and rest my head on his shoulders. "That’s what he ssaaiidd~" I sang out loud, having a giggle fit. I look up to see Steve blushing. "No more drinks for you" He muttered causing me to laugh. "Alright. . No more drinks for me~" I said resting my head back on his shoulder. "You look stunning as well" I heard him chuckle which made me groan. "Oh god no" I blushed, feeling super embarrassed that he heard. "would you like to dance?" I heard him ask. I sat up straight and looked at him with a smile. "I'd like too, but I'm not much of a dancer, and I don't particularly care for this kind of music" I told Steve. "one dance won't hurt, and you can pick any song, come on" He said as he stood up. He offered his hand which I gladly took. I linked my arm to his and we both made our way to the DJ. After I told him the song, 'I'll Be Around by The Spinners' we made our way to a clear area, where we couldn't bump into anyone.
Steve reluctantly pulled me close to him, and placed his hands on my waist. I wrapped my arms around his neck, at least I tried. Steve was a lot taller than I was. We swayed back and forth as the music started. "Seeing as you’re so young, I'd assume you would like that loud obnoxious people now in day listen to" Steve said as he twirled me around, making me laugh. "Nah, I grew up listening to this kind, Peter only had music from the 70's thanks to his mother. But im not complaining" I replied coming back in closer to him. I got used to listening to his type of music, and I couldn't complain since we'd always have a blast, goofing off to the songs.

"I CANT STOP THIS FEELING, DEEP INSIDE OF ME! GIIIRL YOU JUST DONT REALIZE, WHAT YOU DO TO MEEE". Peter and I sang at the top of our lungs. We were in the Milano, dancing around the ship. We smiled and laughed as we jumped around like a bunch of morons. "IIIIIIIIIIM HOOKED ON A FEELING!!!"

"but it’s a trick!"
"Oh no its much more than that" Thor said. "Uh Whosoever be he worthy shall haveth the power!! what ever man it’s a trick" Barton argued. We were all sitting around the coffee table, Thors hammer resting upon it. I was sitting on the far left of the couch, with Steve next to me followed by Thor. On the love seat next to me was Bruce. Tony and Rhodey both standing next to each other. Natasha, and Maria were on the couch across from me, with Barton sitting on the floor. Helen was sitting on the other love seat. "Well please be my guest" Thor taunted. Everyone turned to Clint who looked around the room. "Really?" "Clint you’ve had a tough week, we wont hold it against you if you cant" Tony joked, making everyone laugh. Clint prepares himself, wraps his hand around the hold of the Hammer, and tried to lift it up. Failing miserably. "I don’t know how you do it!" "Smell the silent judgment?" Tony said smugly. making fun of poor Clint. "Please, Stark, by all means." Clint egged Tony on. Clint stepped aside as Tony unbuttoned his blazer and made his way to the Hammer. " Oh, here we go." Natasha muttered, taking a sip of her wine. "Never one to shrink from an honest challenge." Tony folded his sleeves and put his hands on the Hammer hilt. "Right, so, if I lift it, I…I then rule Asgard?" He turned to Thor and asked. "Yes, of course." Thor replied with a laugh. "I will be re-instituting Prima-Nocta." It looked like Tony put all his strength into it but failed as well. " I’ll be right back." And with that Tony disappeared into a different room only to come back with his Iron-hand.
He then tried to lift it but didn’t work. "Are you even pulling?" "Are you on my team?" "Just represent, pull!" Tony and Rhodey bickered back and forth, both wearing their armored hand, pulling on the hammer. We all went in a circle, Bruce went up but couldn’t lift it, He actually made a really pathetic attempt on lifting it, which caused me to laugh at the awkwardness when everyone stayed silent. "Steve no pressure. Come on Cap!" Tony cheered. Steve stood in front of the hammer and positioned himself. Everyone cheering him on. "Come on Steve! Wooo" I called out giggling. I wiggled myself next to Thor so I could get a better view. As Steve starts to pull, I see the Hammer budge a little bit, but that was it. Natasha shot down her offer, something about 'not an question she needed an answer' "Marie! Go on show them what a Stark can do!" I hear Tony say. I hear the rest of the group cheer on so I sigh in defeat and try to get up, using Thor's thigh to balance myself. "Truth be told, the whole room is spinning, I doubt I can even make it to the Hammer" I said, causing them to laugh. "I think Stark Junior has had enough for today" Maria spoke up making me giggle. "Yeaaa~""Alright, ill take her to her room" I heard some one say behind and before I knew it I was up in the air. "Woaah. Hey did I pick up the Hammer?" I asked, beginning to have the sense of motion. I felt the persons chest quickly move up and down, hearing said person chuckle.
We ended up inside the elevator, I saw a hand shot out to press the button and then I felt us go down. I look up to the person and see Steve, watching straight ahead, attentively. "Steeeve!! You moved the Hammer! You are so worthy~" I said excitedly, resting my head back to his chest. "Hardly" he replied. The elevator dinged, the doors open and Steve stepped out, now on my floor. He made his way into my room and sat me down on my bed. "Will you be okay?" He asked standing straight. I nodded as I took of my heels. "today was fun" I mumbled suddenly feeling sleepy. "We are going to be up stairs if you need anything alright?" Steve said goodbye and exited my room, closing the door behind him. I laid down on my side and tried to replay todays event. After a good couple of minutes, my eyelids begin to feel heavy. But before I could fully go unconscious, I hear gun shots and commotion up stairs. I quickly got up, ignoring the suddenly nasty feeling in my stomach. I got my Quad Blasters and my ear piece from my closet and quickly made my way upstairs.
As I made my way up, I securely put my ear piece on the right side. I come into the pent house, and all I see is disaster. Iron Legion bots shooting and fighting the Avengers. One of the bots shoots a blast, missing me, which causes me to snap out of my daze, I press the button on my ear piece, and a light blue energy wraps around my face and head and turns into a helmet, with the helmet I can detect heat sources and can foreshadow an enemy's attack. I take my Quad Blaster and shot the one who tried to get at me, making it explode. I see Natasha struggling to keep Bruce safe, so I run up to the Bot she was shooting at and take it down with my blaster.
After taking down a couple, there was one left and Steve quickly threw his shield, smashing it to pieces. "That was dramatic! I’m sorry, I know you mean well. You just didn’t think it through. You want to protect the world, but you don’t want it to change. How is humanity saved if it’s not allowed to…evolve?" I see the last Iron Legion bot pick up a dismembered bot "With these? These puppets? There’s only one path to peace. The Avengers’ extinction." And with that Thor throws his hammer and smashes the bot to pieces. What the hell just happened!?!
