Age Of Miracles

I stood in front of the kitchen counter, mixing up some cake batter mix, getting ready for the party later tonight. I made a bunch of Halloween snacks like caramel chocolate dipped popcorn balls, small sandwiches that looked like fingers and other fun stuff. I also had a cauldron in which I had Witch's Brew in, something alcoholic for my dearest brother. As I finished the batter and poured it in a pan, I insert it into the preheated oven and start cleaning the kitchen. "I don’t understand why we are dressing up, no one else going to have a costume on" I heard my loving boyfriend complain as he makes his way into the kitchen, fiddling with his costume. I gave Bucky a disapproving look as I walked up to him, swatting his fidgeting hand. "Where is your Halloween spirit James? And so what if no one else has costumes, just makes them look like the boring stiffs they are. Plus you look super sexy in your costume" I giggled, standing on my tip toes to quickly places a kiss on his lips. Bucky rolled his eyes and walked towards to couch, muttering things under his breath. I changed into my costume which consisted of a black tight dress, some black heels and a long black wig. My nails were painted black and I applied some make up, making my face look pale, lips red as blood and some black eye shadow as well as eyeliner. I walked out of my room, taking small steps because of the attire, and made my way to the kitchen. "Alright Bucky come help me with the food, time to head up stairs. I grabbed the plate of the caramel chocolate popcorn and made my way to the elevator, Bucky close behind who was holding the cauldron. "Who are you even supposed to be?" He asked, as we stepped in . "Pent house please Friday. And Im Morticia. Who are you?" I asked, sneering the last part a bit. I heard Bucky 'Tch'ed next to me. "You know damn well." I rolled my eyes and stepped out the elevator. "Yea well you cant be the grim reaper, I dot see your scythe. Hello we are heeeree~" I sand out the last part, walking to where Tony had a table set up so I can place he food. The pent floor was decorated with carved pumpkins around, cob webs, some hanging decorations like skeletons and witches. Tony had some ghoulish music playing. I placed the food on the table as did Bucky. Tony came walking up to us and put an arm around me. "And you said no one would dress up!" I teased Buky as I jabbed my finger to his stomach, making him grunt in displeasure. Tony was dressed as an old school vampire, it fitted him quiet nicely. We make our way to the lounge where everyone was sitting around, talking animatedly amongst themselves. Natasha and Maria sitting on love chairs next to each other. Nat had on witch's costume which consisted of a red and black short dress, with some cute lace designs on it, black knee high boots and a big black hat placed on her head. Maria had on what a believed was a lion tamer costume. She had black short leather shorts, a white corset with a red leathered ringmaster jacket, black top hat with matching heeled boots and a small whip resting on her lap. Bruce and Thor were on a couch, with Steve sitting at the end. Bruce had his regular clothes on, only tattered while holding a test tube. Thor had an adorable Cowboy get up. And Steve was dressed as a Priest. A freakin Priest. Seeing Steve got me in a fit of laughter that was so bad I had to hold on to my brother. Tears going down my cheek, I finally calmed down, noticing everyone staring at me. "He's a freaking priest!" I pointed at Steve and once again started laughing. Steve wasn’t amused, if anything he looked annoyed. He muttered something about 'only Starks' but what ever. "What exactly are you supposed to be anyways?" he asked the same thing Bucky did. My brother and I 'Pff'ed at him. " Capsicle I thought you got with the times already" I said and sat myself down on the couch across from them. "Im getting the rest of the food okay" Bucky whispered in my ear from behind me. I looked up at him while smiling and gave him a nod. Bucky gave me a kiss on the cheek and walked off with Steve, who volunteered to help. The small party ended up being a blast. They all ate my foods and cakes and the LOVED it. We all danced, drank, over all had a good time. "Did you have a good time?" Bucky asked as he hugged me from behind. I giggled and turned around so I could face him. I sure did, you looked like you had fun too" I stated as we both swayed back and forth, dancing to the non existent music. "I wouldn’t mind doing this every year" He whispered in my ear, causing me to giggle. "Sure, up until the point where we have to take our kids trick or treating" I chimed in, causing him to go wide eyed in surprised. "That’s if you want" I said and kissed him on the lips, causing him to snap out of his shock and kissed back. "Im sure I wouldn’t mind" He said as we pulled apart and nestled his face onto my neck. "We can start now if you want" He said seductively and he picked me up bridal style and walked into our shared room, making me really flustered.
