Chapter 10
"What the fuck just happened, Brenda?" Clint asked me once Bruce, and Tony were in the room. I understand why he is so pissed off, I was the same when I found out.
"She burst into flames. That's what just happened. Apparently they gave her human torch abilities, and my dad has 1 more to teach. They were trying to recruit her." I told him. He just stomped off punching the nearest wall as he went.
"Mommy, Mommy!" I heard. I turned around to see similar faces running towards me and give me a hug.
"We thought you were dead." Said one of them. It's sad that I didn't know her name. 'how long have I been out?' I asked myself.
"Alright Rosie, you can let her go now." Steve said humorously. Now I know who is who.
"Wow, I must have been out cold for a while......... How long?" That last part I was scared because I didn't want to postpone my wedding.
"2 months. I had to postpone the wedding and the birthday party. The girls still got their gifts from everyone in the tower though. Postponing it was worth it though. I didn't want to keep the wedding going only for you to be out cold when it happens. Plus, I wanted to make sure you were alright. Your dad is waiting for you in the lab." He responded. I couldn't believe I missed Rosie and Rosalinda's birthday.
Jonny's Pov
I heard that Brenda was finally responsive. Steve said that she had to go and See Peter. I wouldn't blame her because she almost lost him. I had to see her, so I told Steve to send her to the Lab when she was done. When she walked in, she was in a red, white, and blue dress.
"Dad!" She ran into my arms and started crying. I was happy she was safe.
"Who's there?" I asked as I looked around the empty room. Brenda looked as pale as a ghost.
"Mom? Mom if that's you show yourself." She said, then a woman figure came into sight. Malinda.
"Malinda. What are you still doing on earth?" I asked. She looked hurt.
"I was the one who helped Brenda and Peter find you. You didn't want to look. Did you know that Brenda knew who her brother was because he looked like you. She gave up though because it was impossible, according to her." She said. I couldn't believe it. She was angry with me.
"Don't use that tone with me. I was the one who risked his life to protect you against Loki while you were preg........" I stopped myself.
Brenda's Pov
My mom was arguing with dad.
"Don't use that tone with me. I was the one who risked his life to protect you against Loki while you were preg........." He stopped what he was saying. He didn't have to continue.
"You were pregnant when Loki went after you?" I asked. She just nodded. Great this day just got worse.
