Chapter 13
Brenda's Pov
'Dear Journal,
I asked my dad to train me today. Well asked him to help me control my flame ability. He gladly agreed, and asked Reed to help. I asked him why Reed had to help, and he said that he needed to help train me so he could let me know when I was almost to super nova. I was happy that he asked because I didn't want to end all human kind. I won't be training until 12:30 so I am spending time with Rosie and Rosalinda. The look like they're 6 instead of 1. I asked Tony about it, but he said it was because of mine and Steve's inhuman genetics making them grow at an expediential rate. I don't know what that means, but didn't press further. Tony seemed angry with me. That's all for today.'
I closed my journal, and walked over to Tony's lab. I had to find out why he was angry with me. I walked into the lab and saw Tony working on his suits. Go figure.
"Hey Tony can I talk to you?" I asked. He looked up at me with a sour expression.
"Yeah. What is it?" He responded.
"Why does it seem like you are angry with me. I got Anna back, and was smart enough to take Steve's communicator. He even said that I am probably smarter than you." That last part must have caught his attention.
"How the fuck is that possible. You want to say that you are smarter than me, fine. I challenge you to a programming contest. Winner leads the Avengers." He just bet leadership.
"Deal. When and where" I responded. I felt bad for him. With his contests we get a half hour to complete it. It only takes me 1 minute to program everything. I have this in the bag.
"2:30 and here in the lab. You have to program one of my suits." He responded. Did he forget he taught me to program his suits.
*2:30*
I was waiting for Tony and the others so this contest can begin.
"Well, the loser did show I guess." Tony remarked. He is such a bad sport.
"You better set a good example for my girls, or you'll get it." I replied. He looked scared after that. He knew who I would sick on him, and he could never beat Steve.
"You get the female suit. Good luck." He said. And we began. As I said before, I completed it in 30 seconds flat. Tony was done 30 seconds after me. He looked up and saw that I was in the suit and had all 3 targets blown. He looked shocked.
"You beat me. That's scientifically impossible." He said.
"Surprised? You were the one who taught me to program a suit." I said.
"My suits. Not female suits." He said.
"It's not that hard. With a female's suits you basically put the coding for the males suit backwards." I responded. "You can continue leading the Avengers." I said.
"No you won fair and square, you are the new Leader." He said and walked out. Well I don't have to sick Steve on him. I just feel bad. I didn't want to be the leader. I was just proving a point. Now he has another reason to hate me.
