Captain America's Love

Chapter 1

Life was difficult at first. My parents died in a car crash when I was three, and my brother was five. Than my Aunt didn’t want me, but wanted my brother. I ended up being adopted and going to some dumb private school. Life didn’t go the way I expected it to.

It was the first day of school, and I couldn’t skip it. I got up, and got ready for school so I could just get through it. I got to school, and made it through. At my final class, biology, I didn’t want to go but I had to. I walked into the class, and took my seat. No one was in the room when I walked in; the bell rang as I took my seat. I realized better enjoy this while I can. The first student in was a tall, blonde, muscular boy about my age. He walked to take his seat, and sat down next to me.
He looked over at me, and my heart started to beat to where I thought he could hear it.
“Hi,” he said, “My name is Steve, what’s yours?” I didn’t know if I could answer like a normal person, but I had to try.
“Brenda. It’s nice to meet you Steve.” I replied normally. That was a shock. Normally when I like a boy it comes out Gibberish. Right at that moment someone else walked in, and sat at the teacher’s desk. I assumed it was the teacher.
“All right class, I would like to start out talking about our Lord.” He said. What, why would you talk about God right now. We did that in the assembly I thought to myself.
“Brenda, do you really want to listen to this? To me it is boring, I don’t want to hear about it again.” Steve asked me. I really didn’t want to hear it either, but I had to.
“I don’t really want to, but I have too.” I replied. I don’t really get into all this talk about God, and I don’t get why everyone has to fuss over God influencing us to make the right choices. I looked over at Steve, and noticed he was digging in his backpack for something. I wondered what he was pulling out, then I noticed that it was his I-pod. He was putting in his ear buds when the teacher spoke
“All right class, I am going to assign your lab partners for the year. You can’t switch. Brenda Anderson and Steve Rodgers….” I drove out the rest of the names on the list because I was partnered with the hot guy right next to me. I don’t know why I like this guy so much, but I did. It was weird to think about it. Well, I guess I will figure out how to get through this year without freaking out.

The next day I woke up to my phone going off. Who the hell is calling me this early in the morning on a weekend? I thought to myself. I looked at the caller ID, and didn’t recognize the number. So I answered my phone.
“Hello.”
“Hello, is this Brenda?” I realized who was on the other end of the phone. My lab partner, Steve. I must have forgotten that I gave him my number
“Yes this is she. Why are you calling me this early in the morning, Steve? Is something wrong?” I replied. He sounded like something was wrong. I didn’t know if it was family related or something else.
“Can you come over quickly? I need your help with something, if you’re up to it.” He responded.
“Yeah sure. I’ll be over shortly. Hey, do you think you can have something ready for breakfast?” I asked him. He seemed like a nice guy, and he really needed my help so I have to give him the help, but not on an empty stomach.
“Yeah I am making breakfast anyway so I will have something for you.” He sounded a little too pleased that I asked. I hung up the phone, and got out of bed. I quickly got dressed, but couldn’t find anything nice to wear. At that particular moment my sister (By adoption) walked in.
“What’s all the fuss about?” she asked me.
“I am going over to a friend’s house, and can’t find anything to wear,” I replied, “Can you help?”
“You’re going to a friend’s house and can’t find anything to wear? I think there is more to this story here. You can tell me anything you know?” She replied. I was starting to get agitated with her, but I knew it was time to spill the beans. My sister, Mackenzie, really wasn’t someone to tell this to, but she was, after all, a sister to me so I knew I had to tell her.
“Alright, I am going to my Lab partner’s house. He needs my help with something, and I kind of like him in that way. I know that it’s lame, but I actually like this guy.” I said. She looked pleased that I told her this. It took her a while to respond, but finally she said, “Alright I’ll help you. I won’t tell the ‘rents. Try your blue blouse with a black skirt, you can borrow one of mine… Oh and go with your Black Go-go boots.”
“Thanks Mackenzie. I owe you one.” I replied. I was really grateful that she helped, now to see if it paid off.
