The Love of an Assassin

‘She’s unstable sir’ ‘Then wipe her and start over’
I shot up from my bed, breathing heavily, cold sweat running down my back and face. The same nightmare has been haunting me since I escaped HYDRA.
Half of them are the horrible murders I committed. The other half is the torture HYDRA did to me. The scars remind me of the horrible crimes that I have committed and the mind searing pain I went through in HYDRA.
There is a rare dream I have every once in awhile, a dream of happiness, hope. A woman with golden hair, and another woman with dark skin. We’re laughing and smiling, as if we are friends. There is a dream that I love to have. Its of a man, with Silver hair and blue eyes. He tells me that he loves me, and that I should come home. I would come home if I knew where home was.
I looked at the alarm clock, 6am. Might as well get up. James and I had escaped to a city of Japan. No one has recognized us so far, and when they do, we run- again.

(Pietro’s PoV)

My first mission, as an Avenger! Angila and Steve are coming with me to aid me in this mission.”So where are we going to again?” I asked for the seventh time in the quinjet “Tokyo” Angila replied calmly “It’s in Japan”
“Well, I knew that” I huffed as I bounced up and down in my seat. I was really excited to go on my mission, But the real reason I wanted to go is because Jayde and Sam said they have a lead on the girl I’m looking for, they had told me she is currently in Japan in the Tokyo area.
After grueling hours in the Quinjet, we finally landed in Tokyo. It was a lot busier than New York City. Very energetic and bright.
I immediately loved it. I scanned the area quickly, searching for the girl in my dreams. She wasn’t in sight. “Now Pietro” Steve reminded me“We’re on a mission, you can look around, but don’t get carried away.”
I looked at everything, It was so incredible. I wish that Wanda was on the mission with me to see all of this. It was almost overwhelming to see all of this at the same time. I almost didn’t hear Angila say in out earpieces “Target spotted, Pietro, time to shine”
“Right next to the stand that is selling Avengers merchandise, Windbreaker, Big glasses, Bowl cut” Steve added. I scanned the area for the man that Steve had just described, I spotted him. He was chatting with the owner of the stall.
“Target seen” I spoke in the earpiece “Approaching the target” “Wait!” Angila said “Don’t, his chest is completely wrapped up in explosives under his windbreaker, you better use your speed if your going in right now. Then after you get him, disable the bomb. You hear me Pietro?”
I ran to the target and caught him, I destroyed the explosives before he could activate them. Steve and Angila threw him in the quinjet, there was another one we needed to find.
Angila found him, he grabbed him, but he activated his explosives, she threw him high up in the air so he didn’t harm any citizens.
The area around us fell silent, the bustling stopped, they all stared at Angila. Fear crept into Angila’s eyes. I quickly scanned the area, looking frantically. Then, my heart dropped.
She was right there.
She wasn’t looking at Angila, She was staring right at me.
She was even more beautiful in person compared in my dreams, were I only got fuzzy glimpses of her. Big green eyes, wisps of dark brown hair peeking out of the edges of her Captain America beanie, skin as pale as snow.
My heart filled my brain, I reached out to her and called her name. But she was already gone.
Steve grabbed me, and we were in the Quinjet, heading home.
