Brenda's first battle

I was standing in front of Edith Barton's cell looking directly into her eyes thinking to myself that I will get my answers.
"Why?" I asked her. She looked at me confused.
"Why what?" She asked with a smirk on her face. I wasn't in the mood to play games when my best friend was trying to kill me.
"Don't play that bullshit with me. Why are you and Hydra controlling Anna?" I restated. She looked at me as if it was obvious. I wasn't in the mood. I looked to the camera giving a look that said let me into this fucking cell. Next thing I knew the cell door opened and I stepped in. Edith backed away rather fast, I guess she was scared. She couldn't run because she was chained. Her cell door closed and I was right in front of her.
"Why are you controlling Anna?" I asked again. This time she knew I wasn't playing games.
"So we can get to you." She responded.
"Why do you want me so fucking bad. Why send my friend after me instead of come after me yourself?" I asked this time flaming up. She looked so scared at that point that I laughed. She deserved to feel the way I'm making her feel.
"You claim to be her friend. You didn't do anything for her!" She screamed at me. I wasn't going to hear it.
"And what about you? What did you do for her these past 12 years? Not a damn thing! You had to kidnap her in order to see her. What a great mother. And what about Barney? leaving him at 15 to take care of Clint and Anna when he could barley take care of himself." I spat at her. Mentioning Barney was a helpful tactic because she said, "I didn't leave him to take care of them. I ran into hiding, leaving them with their grandmother." She looked pissed, but I didn't care.
"Not according to Clint. You left them on their own. Did you know that Hydra shot Anna's boyfriend in the head when they took her. He was in critical condition. I thought I was going to lose the only family I had left. I would have killed you because of it." I spat at her. Clint had to come in and get me before I did something stupid. He took me back to Steve, told me to Sit down. I did, and I started sobbing. Rosalinda came up to me and gave me a hug.
"It's okay Mommy. I love you." She said. That made me cry even more because I was glad that my family was safe. I was also finally a Rodgers.
