Chapter 1

I really don't remember how it happened. One second I'm watching Steve and Brenda dance then nothing. I can still see, can still feel but it's not me that's in control of my body. I'm just trapped inside of my body. Screaming on the inside. Unable to control myself. Forced to watch as my body is going in directions that I don’t want to go in.
The room in the tower explodes, I can feel it. Then hollowly, I realize I did it. Me. With my powers.
I watch as people scream, scurrying away in fear. I feel nothing. I can’t stop myself either, not even when I see Brenda charge me.
"Who the fuck do you think you are ruining my wedding? You couldn't have fucking waited before the attack?” she demands as she bursts into flames. I realize I must be not be recognizable. Something about me is changed, because when she looks at me she doesn’t realize who I am.
She creates a fireball, hurling it at me. I want to duck, to cower and hide. To cry out. To do anything. But instead I catch it. I catch the fireball in my hand. Her eyes widen. Then she smiles, and creates a rain storm, dousing me in the cold water, that for some reason knocks me out cold.
