Retro \Steve x Tony/
Prologue
“What’s going on in here?” I hear Clint snark behind me.
“History,” I reply, my focus still on my tools. I’m not quite sure if I can trust him enough to tell him, he seems honest. “A machine that will change everything forever.”
“Could you be a little less ambiguous?”
I squint my eyes out at the blue sky through the wall window and remove my hands from the messy table of scraps and papers. I guess I could be a little less vague.
“I’m making a machine that will change the way of life as we know it.”
“Try again,” He replies.
Sigh. “ I’m making a mind mending machine.” I move away from the desk to show him a display of red wires formed in the shape of an arm that leads all the way to a metal head piece.
He gives me a confused glance. “Mind mending?”
“It uses brain, heat, and of coarse manipulation waves to unite two minds into one matter bond to form a new life form from the two members mental and physical elements,” I explain.
“So... It can make any two people into one?” He mirrors.
“Basically, but it can’t just mend with anyone, one needs the getup,” I open a drawer from my (Tony’s) desk and place the tools exactly where I found it while taking out a pill capsule with arctic blue dust inside. “And the other needs what’s in here.”
Clint gives me an understanding poker face until I hear footsteps heading through the door. In panic I shove the capsule into my pocket and quickly move to the desk while picking up a random book. I face my back to the door to hide the machine. I can’t let anyone else see this just yet.
Who’s coming through the door, If I turn my head I might look suspicious, or I might reveal the machine. Sweat pours down my face, the steps space exactly one second apart, that must mean he has a long leg size. They also make more of a clack than a stomp sound and-
“Hey Cap,” Clint greets.
“I think he just left for a meeting. What did you need?” Clint asks Steve curiously.
