What happens at SHIELD
My body felt numb, I couldn't move a muscle. Finally, my eyes opened, and I took in my surroundings; a large lab, with lots of screens. I winced, looking at my bandages arm, the bandage red with dried blood. Someone walked in, a tall man wearing glasses, in a purple shirt. "How are you feeling?" I turned my head slowly before speaking, "Everything hurts..." he nodded, sitting in the chair by the bed. I blinked, he looked older than the Captain. "We just need to run a few tests, once you're feeling up to it, we already got blood and tissue samples". I sat up slowly, wincing, "Seeing my powers right?" he just nodded. My stomach grumbled, he chuckled, "Hungry? Wouldn't be surprised" I blushes out of embarrassment. "I'm Bruce Banner by the way, but people just call me Bruce" I smiled, I knew him, he was quite famous. "I'm Serena, but I'm sure you already knew that" he just chuckled, going to get me some food I assumed.
Bruce came back to the lab with delicious looking food; some bread rolls, fried chicken, and a nice cole slaw. I ate happily, savoring every bite, I swore I heard Bruce chuckle. As soon as I finished, there was a big smile on my face, they really know how to cook. I get up and stretched, being careful not to further hurt my arm. "I think in ready, I feel a lot better" he smiled, nodding at me. He led me to a simulation type room, it looked high tech, so cool! "I'll tun a few situations, then we'll see your power output with each" as soon as it started; I was ambushed by androids, all black/gray. I kicked their butts so fast, they were sent 'flying', as I kicked them, their frozen forms. As this continued, my power level stayed the same; until the last simulation. A little girl was in a burning building, couching and wheezing. My emotions took over, and I went all out, doing all I could. As it ended, I sat down drained, tears falling from my eyes.
Bruce came down moments later, comforting me, taking me to meet the others. I took several deep breaths, I was calm. Steve was the first to greet me, handshake and everything. "Welcome...Serena right?" I nodded, giggling, "Happy to be here captain". Next was Stark, acting cocky, "Tony Stark, the man of your dreams" he winked at me, I rolled my eyes, "Serena, a pleasure", what a playboy. Natasha walked up to me after, "Finally another female, call me Nat" she smiled at me, then introducing me to Clint. "Call me Clint, need anything I'm here to talk" he seems like the super approachable one. Thor was next, man he was built, "I am Thor Odinson, nice to meet you lady Serena" I blushed, being called lady felt nice. "Just Serena, no need to be formal" I chuckled lightly. We talked for a bit, tiring me out slightly, Bruce discussed my power input, and solution times during the testing. Then, a man wearing an eye patch walked in, impressed with the information it seemed.
"Avengers, it seems you're all acquainted with our newest member" I looked at him, he looked kinda intimidating to be honest.
