There was something about Brenna MacCready that made her much different than the average girl next door. Maybe it was her tough as nails, take no shit personality or the fact that she's been on the run every day since leaving her hometown in Ireland behind for good. Or maybe, just maybe... it's because of her flirting with Death.
Maybe that's because wherever she went, that's where Death would always be. Or maybe it was the fact that she did his easy work for him.
After watching her own Mother die at the hands of her Father and ultimately causing a minor disturbance in their town, it was her big brother's duty to haul her off to New York and raise her there as best as he could while keeping Mac's abilities a secret. And he did... before Death took him into their cold hands and seized his own life too.
That was when Brenna finally realized that no matter what she tried, she was alone. And that's how she would always be.
And while she deemed herself to be a loner, she didn't expect what the years threw at her: a vicious Nazi-based group, the sudden exposure to the superhuman world and most importantly, the introduction to none other than Nicholas Fury who had quite the offer that even she couldn't manage to pass up.
That is, if she knew what it would bring for her.
