Flirting With Mischief
Early Morning
It's the last night of 2013, today on Midgard the humans are celebrating what they call New Years Eve, something that does not exist on Asgard. Thor and his brother Loki were invited by Tony Stark to come to his New Years party and Thor accepted without a second thought. Loki on the other hand was another story. He needed to be convinced that it would be worth his while, after all humans were just mere playthings in the younger Prince's eyes.
“Brother?” Thor called out for Loki before he throw open the door to Loki's bedchamber. Loki sat by perched upon his couch, like a fat cat with a book in his hand.
“What do you want Thor?” Loki asked with a sigh, not even bothering to look up from the pages in front of him.
“Brother. I beg you, come with me to Midgard. The Iron Man has invited both of us, do not be rude. It is the least you could do for trying to kill him,” Thor stated, trying to gilt trip his brother.
Loki scoffed and closed his book, setting it on the table besides him, “The least I could do?” Loki sat up on the couch and glared at Thor. “Have I not done more then enough for those quarrelsome imbeciles?” Loki questioned standing up. “Have I not done everything that has been asked of me...if not more?” Loki's voice rose with each question and Thor watched his brother with sad eyes. “I despise Midgard and all those on it,” Loki hissed and Thor frowned.
“Brother...” Thor paused in his words and sighed. “Okay brother. I will tell the Iron Man that you have denied his request.” Thor turned on his heels and headed for the door, but stopped a foot from the door. “I'm sure I'll be able to entertain Lady Zamera on my own,” Thor stated with a smirk and he takes a steps towards the door.
“Thor.” Thor smiles hearing his brother's voice.
“Yes, brother?” Thor turned around and looked at Loki.
“Lady Zamera will be there?” Loki asked and Thor nodded his head. Thor was not as dense as Loki liked to believe. He noticed the way Loki looked at Zamera, one of the Iron Man's friends when he was on Midgard serving his sentence. “If I am free I shall go to this...event,” Loki stated. “Only if I am free,” he clarified and Thor nodded his head once again.
“I will let the Iron Man know.” Thor left Loki's room without another word.
“Well played brother...well played,” Loki muttered to himself once he was alone. With a shake of his head Loki walked over to his looking glass and waved his hand in front of it. The glass rippled and became still. A small smile pulled at Loki's lips as he stared into the looking glass. It was not his reflection that he watched, but a portal to Midgard, a portal that just so happened to find Lady Zamera running around with a cellphone attached to her ear. “Well played indeed,” Loki smirked and waved his hand again in front of the looking glass, his reflection now staring back at him.
