Chapter 12

Anna’s Point of View
It was for the first time in weeks, crime free. Well crime free enough that Peter could come home at a normal decent time.
“We should go out.” He says, as he wraps his arms around my waist, his chin resting on my shoulder, his mouth next to my ear.
“We can’t. We have so much stuff to do. We need to look at apartments, and there’s so much that needs to be done for the wedding- “
“Anna, you need this. We both do. Think of it as a date. Just some quiet us-time. Okay?”
“You know we’ve never been on a date before, right?” He frowns, I can just tell without looking at him, his chin digs into my shoulder a bit, his head always dips down when he frowns.
“We totally have been on a date before, there was that time when,” he pauses trying to remember when we went out. “Well,” he says after a moment “I guess that means you must really love me then huh? I can’t believe we never went out before. I mean, that was always the plan.”
“What plan?”
“My plan for winning you over.”
“There was a plan?”
“Yes it was -wear-her-down-with-my-wit-and-charm-plus-my-stunningly-good-looks-so-she’ll-have-no-choice-but-to-say-yes plan.”
“I think it might have worked.” He shrugged
“Maybe, I mean it’s not like we’re getting married or anything.” I laughed, “We should go out.” He says again, this time turning me around, so we’re face to face. I open my mouth to argue, but after catching the look in his eyes (his adorable, wide puppy dog eyes) I sigh and smile despite myself.
“Where are we going?” his eyes lit up, and he smiles
“That’s a surprise.” He says, as he kisses my cheek and runs off.
*time skip an hour*
“Where are we?”
“Some place special”
“I bet you say that to all the girls.”
“Girl. Singular. I only worry about one now.” He says, as he kisses the base of my neck. Despite the fact that I’m pretty sure we’re alone, I still blush.
“Whatever.”
“Really? I was all sweet and stuff and you just say ‘whatever’?” he laughs “You are one of a kind Pix, you know that?”
“Of course I do. Not everyone is as amazing as I am.” I say, as I try to pry his fingers off my eyes again,
“You can’t look, we’re not there yet.” He says, despite knowing how childish I must look I pout, just a little bit. Peter doesn’t seem to notice or care, as he leads me up a hill. We walk for a few more minutes, then, Peter stops.
“Alright we’re here.” He says, and he moves his hands.
After letting my eyes adjust for a moment, I take in our surroundings. We’re on a small hill, which has a playground in it, but is otherwise deserted. I was expecting some nice place under the stars or something, but instead it’s kind of creepy here. Peter however, clearly doesn’t seem to think so. He’s smiling widely and pulling on my hand
“C’mon Pix, this isn’t even the best part.” He says he leads me over to the edge of the hill, where sits a house.
It’s on the slightly smaller side, looking a little old and worn, but still standing.
“Apparently this used to be my parents house. Right when they first had me. But once they had Brenda they moved out. Dad doesn’t really have a need for it, since he lives in Fantastic Tower, so he said that if we wanted, we could have it. It’ll probably need some basic repairs and we’ll have to repaint the walls, but it’s ours. It would be ours.” He said as he turned to look at me. He looked nervous, his cheeks were red.
“As long as we move out of your Aunt’s house, I really don’t care where we live.”
