Chapter 13

Anna's Point of View
To say that I didn't enjoy living with Peter on our own was a lie. In case the world hasn't yet noticed I am a private person, and while May is nearly family; it still didn't change the fact that I didn't know or trust her very much.
There's also the fact that now that we've moved into the house, Peter has taken to walking around half-naked or in his costume. Which is a real shame, because he looks terrible in both. Right now however we are currently working out the final details for the wedding, which is in two weeks.
"I can't believe it's already here." He says as he looks at all of the plans strewn across the table.
"I actually cannot wait for this to be over already." I say, leaning back and stretched. Peter raised an eyebrow,
"Eager to be hitched are we?" as he frowns at me
"Eager to be done planning, and all this other stuff." I say, getting up to kiss him.
"I guess that makes sense."
"Of course it does, I said it."
"So everything you ever say must make sense?"
"Obviously, when have I ever been wrong?"
"When you quit being a super-hero." He says, looking me in the eye. I rolled my eyes,
"I already told you why- "
"But we could work around it- "
"To what cost? I want to have kids Peter, and look at what happened to you and Brenda. Both your parents were supers and it destroyed your family. I mean, just look at Tony, his dad worked with the supers, and he got a bit messed up. Do you really want to take that chance?" I ask,
"But we're different. You and I don't worry about people taking over the world- "
"I was an assassin, Peter. I stopped a lot of people from taking over the world."
"Well I don't usually have to worry about people taking over the world. Just people who want me dead, or to take over New York. That's what every New Yorker has to deal with."
"What about your identity? What about mine? Even us being together, getting married, is dangerous. Can you imagine if we had kids? I just- "
"I know Anna. You think I haven't thought about any of this? I have, I can't guarantee anything. I wish I could but I can't. There's a lot of chance and risk in our job. You know that, probably more than I do. But can you imagine making the world a better place for our kids? To make sure that they're safe? So they don't ever have to worry or go through the things we had to go through?" he asks. I sigh,
"I just don't know Peter. I can't think about this right now." I say, he pulls me to him, burying his face in my neck.
"All I'm asking is that you think about it, we need you out there. But I'll back off okay? I love you." He pulls up his head, and smiles at me.
"I love you too."
"Good. Now, I don't know about you, but I think we should go out tonight. Get something to eat, catch a movie?"
"Are you asking me out?"
"When's your curfew? I don't want your brothers to be mad at me."
"You know, I'm almost a married woman."
"Really? Well your finance is a lucky man."
"You should tell him that."
"I'll pass the message along."
"I really appreciate that."
"Okay, this is just getting weird now. I'm at my limit with this weird foreplay talk stuff." Peter deadpans
"Wow, you're so romantic." I say laughing, he smiles and rolls his eyes.
"We could just skip going out and stay in for the night." He says,
"I don't know. I really could go for some pizza." I say shrugging. He laughs
"Fine, pizza it is."
*time skip*
"I'm going to go grab the car, you wanna wait here a second?" Peter asks. We've just finished eating and were about to leave when we noticed that it was pouring outside. I frown, I'd left my jacket in the car, because it was actually pretty warm out.
"Yeah sure. That's fine." He grins at me, at kisses my head.
"Cool. I'll be right back, love you." He says and turns away, leaving me standing on the sidewalk. I frown, feeling as if something very bad is about to happen, as I watch him walk away.
I pull out my phone, as it vibrates. It's Sydney
Just wanted to ask how you and your BAE were doing....
Also, I met someone!!
I grin, and reply
We're actually headed home now; he's grabbing the car....
That's great! What happened to Australian drummer guy?
I look up, to see if Peter has the car yet. Then someone starts screaming.
I rush over to the parking lot, forgetting about the rain, please don't be about Peter, please don't be about Peter. I silently pray. As it turns out, the god (or gods) could not give a shit about what I want. The parking lot is mostly empty, there are a few cars, and a few very startled looking people.
"What's going on?" I ask, as I reach the woman in the middle of the group of people. She looks the most scared, she's the one who probably saw something.
"They took some poor boy. He was just walking out to his car, and they just knocked him right. They shoved him into the back of his van."
"What did he look like?" I ask, as my phone vibrates again. I pull it out, and my heart sinks at the message.
We have what you want. Come and get it.
Below was a picture of Peter
