Fighting for Innocence

My legs were against my chest, my arms were wrapped tightly around them while I started into space with a small ball of water floating in front of my face and changing shapes every now and again. I could have seriously hurt that man in the office… but something in my mind… soul or whatever was stopping me from going any further. Maybe this innocence thing is all real. I have never ever wanted to ever hurt someone to the point of death no matter who it was.

The water dropped to the floor when Johnny stepped out of the office,
“Your friends aren’t far from here. Another few hours drive and we should find them.” Johnny spoke as I nodded. Johnny knelt down besides me and put his hand on my shoulder, “You’re okay?” Johnny asked, I looked at him and then moved closer to him and wrapped my arms around him holding him close to me.

“Rosie and Courtney… they’ll be okay? Right?” I asked, I felt Johnny’s arms move around my waist as he sighed,
“They will. As long as we get to them before the solstice they will be fine.” Johnny spoke as he helped me to stand. I looked up at Johnny as I stood there in his arms, “We will get your friends back.” Johnny spoke; I nodded and stepped back, though looking over Johnny’s face for a moment I smiled at him.
“This whole innocence thing… its true isn’t it? I can’t ever get the feeling to… kill anyone?” I asked, Johnny nodded as he looked a little confused about it, “I am glad… I don’t think I could ever live with myself if I killed anyone…” I spoke, Johnny gave a small awkward smile as I pulled him closer and wrapped my arms around him.

We had left a bit later, getting on the bike once again we headed for Pluscarden Abbey. It was a small place, apparently monks and priests still walked the halls but no doubt the men who had captured Rosie and Courtney had killed them all in cold blood.

The bike stopped off not far from the abbey. From the hills nearby we looked over as the night was still young and the sky was black. We could not be seen from the Abbey but we could see it, the candles that lit the halls were weak but seen at a distance as there were many.

I looked to Johnny as he glanced back at me,
“You don’t have to come in with me, you could wait here and protect yourself from being used yourself.” Johnny turned towards me,
“I’m not going to stand by like a child. I have the power to help my friends. And I will use it to do just that. Plus I’m Rosemarie’s bodyguard. Wouldn’t be much of a bodyguard if I didn’t try to save her.” I smirked at Johnny. Johnny looked over my face and noticed I wasn’t going to back down any time soon, with a sigh he looked to the manor and then back at myself as he suddenly changed into Ghost Rider and I smiled at him,
“Let’s ride.” Ghost Rider spoke and drove forward as I held on.

The bike jumped over the building into the central area of the building structure where a garden area, though when we landed and looked around we saw a lot of men standing around with guns aimed at us. Though I saw Courtney and Rosemarie standing near the main doors with a man who had turned to look at us and smirked,
“Let them go and you won’t get hurt!” I yelled,
“You two against my small army? You make me laugh.” The man smirked,
“Who are you and why are you doing this?” I climbed off the bike,
“My name is Malcolm, and I am doing this because I can. I am the savior of those who have done bad and want to be saved from hell. At the right price.” Malcolm smirked as I glared at him,
“And thank you Ghost Rider, for bringing an adult innocence to me. We will be taking her now.” Malcolm smirked as the Ghost Rider moved in front of me. “Deal with them quickly we haven’t got much time.” Malcolm spoke as the men started shooting Johnny, “Don’t shoot the woman! Don’t kill her!” Malcolm yelled as I pulled water from the grass and thrown it towards Rosie and Courtney freezing their handcuffs making the metal break with the simplest touch. Rosie punched the man off Courtney and I turned around to the men at the south as I was suddenly struck down from behind and fell forward on my knees.

“Precious!” Courtney yelled as my head was pulled back to look up, Malcolm had grabbed me and the other guy held my hands pulled forward as another two men were stopping me moving my legs to kick someone. Malcolm started chanting a weird chant as I felt something weird pulling at my mind, it felt like I was losing myself as I screamed out. For a moment I saw a white orb above me and it looked as though it was being drained by something darker. The white orb above me turned black though moments later Ghost Rider managed to kick the man opposite me away and the orbs shattered above as my eyes closed and Malcolm yelled in anger as my body fell to the floor unconscious.

My body hurt and ached all over, I knew I hadn’t fought much but it felt like I had been ripped from my body and thrown down a rocky cliff and then put into a massive tumble dryer and thrown around. My eyes slowly opened as I heard the beeping of a familiar machine. My breathing was shaky as blinding light blurred my eyes for a few seconds and a familiar face looked over me,
“Thank God you are alive!” Rosemarie spoke as I looked at her,
“Huh… what… happened?” I asked,
“Well… when Malcolm grabbed you he started the spell thing and your ‘soul’ was pulled from your body and he was extracting the innocence from your soul and putting it into Jack’s and then Ghost Rider managed to disrupt the spell and then killed Jack before it was complete because if he had managed to complete it Ghost Rider would have had to kill you but he managed to stop it in time so you are okay… but apparently you’ll feel like shit for a while.” Rosemarie explained quickly, “I still don’t believe in God and the Devil and all that crap but… that was cool.” Rosemarie spoke as I smirked and closed my eyes.

“Where… is he? How is Courtney?” I asked, Rosemarie smirked,
“He left somewhere a few minutes ago. And Courtney is in the other room, they beat us up pretty badly… but Courtney managed to protect your body with some vines after Ghost Rider released you. It was pretty cool, nobody could get near you.” Rosemarie spoke, though the door opened and Johnny walked in. Rosemarie stood up, “I’ll leave you to it.” Rosemarie smirked as Johnny walked over and sat next to the bed.

“Told you to stay behind.” Johnny spoke,
“Well… if I did then you wouldn’t have had a good opportunity to strike…” I smirked, Johnny chuckled as he looked down and my hand reached over and taken his hand. “Johnny… I…” I stopped as he moved closer to me and his lips landed on my own,
“I was worried about you. You’ve been asleep for so long…” Johnny looked over my face as I smiled at him,
“I’m tougher then I look.” I spoke, my emerald eyes shone with love. Johnny had my heart, and I had his. Johnny did care about me. Johnny kissed me again as I returned it happily.

So much had happened over the last week, I had met an amazing man. He had saved my life and saved my friends, he cared about me and I shared those feelings.
