The Goddess is revealed
Questions
When we got home, Maddy just sat on the couch, and she didn’t move.
She was all quiet, for the entire night.
She wouldn’t eat.
I actually had to make her eat.
“Mads, you have to eat…” I coaxed her.
She finally gave in, but she wouldn’t move from the couch, so I made a plate for her, and I sat with her on the couch, and made sure that she ate it.
When she was done, I took her plate.
When I came back, she had her knees on her chest and her head on her arms.
I sat beside her. “Did you see what I was seeing?” She asked.
“Yeah…” I said. “You saw what I looked like when I am Olympus…?” She asked.
“Yeah, you looked beautiful…” I said, she smiled at me.
“Thanks…” She mumbled cracking a smile.
“Mads, what was that thing that was talking to you…?” I asked, gently.
Her smile faded.
“I can’t just tell you, everyone has to know…”
When she said everyone, I knew she meant the other Avengers.
“We’ll tell them, tomorrow, okay?” I promised her, she leaned her body against mine, and she nodded.
She stayed like that for a while, until I heard her breathing slow down, to a smooth and repetitive rate, she had fallen asleep.
Not wanting to wake her up, I just sat there.
The 2 questions that kept repeating in my mind were: What was that thing that was in Maddy’s head, and why was she afraid of it? And the other one was; How were the rest of the Avengers going to react to her news?
I guess I’ll have to find out tomorrow
