"I took a deep breath nearly screaming as the memories flooded my vision. The flames roared licking at my skin until he burst through the back door. I couldn't tell if it was the light reflecting off his skin or if he was really a pale shade of green. Everything burned, it took so much for me to call out to him, but he found me. He carried me to safety and took care of me...then he was gone." tears streamed down my cheeks as my second savior hugged me tightly. I could smell chemicals and grease on his skin and in his hair as he held me for what seemed like hours.
"Bruce maybe a brilliant physicist, but he can be really incompetent. The one thing in this whole world he should have latched onto and never let go is the one thing he gave up completely. I don't know how he did it," he assured as he pulled back slightly. He smiled a genuine smile as he wiped my cheeks with his thumbs.
"Don't spoil me Stark," I retorted, "You might end up regretting it in the morning."
"We'll burn that bridge when we come to it," Tony laughed, and I couldn't help the crooked grin that crossed my features.
